GDSF 2013 - Wednesday
First day of the show. I think GDSF has got's old spark back after a couple of quiet years. The roller display is something else, it has to be seen to be believed. I don't know the numbers of engines involved but it must be well in excess of the figures being quoted prior to the event. Those involved in putting it together deserve a very big pat on the back.
A very small selection of pictures from around the site. Some of the special roller display: Mike Dreelan's enormous convertible A&P: Just love this diesel Marshall which has shown up: Repatriated Sentinel in the NTET tent: The big load coming into the site at lunchtime: I was invited onto the footplate of Dolphin, they tell me it takes a week to clean it before they get to the show, amazing work: Count the rollers! I took many more but I don't feel I saw half of what is there, I've not even been to the top of the haulage area or in the woodsawing/threshing area. I've had to come home tonight to bring children back as they start school in the morning (!), I will be back at the show bright and early in the morning. Don't miss it!

Fantastic pics David, think these shots really show what Dorset is all about, its got to be the greatest show on earth and I think that anyone interested in preservation should try and visit at least once in their lives, well done again.
