GDSF 2013 - Wednesday - Traction-Talk

First day of the show. I think GDSF has got's old spark back after a couple of quiet years. The roller display is something else, it has to be seen to be believed. I don't know the numbers of engines involved but it must be well in excess of the figures being quoted prior to the event. Those involved in putting it together deserve a very big pat on the back.

I was invited onto the footplate of Dolphin, they tell me it takes a week to clean it before they get to the show, amazing work:

I took many more but I don't feel I saw half of what is there, I've not even been to the top of the haulage area or in the woodsawing/threshing area. I've had to come home tonight to bring children back as they start school in the morning (!), I will be back at the show bright and early in the morning.

thanks David, is the Sentinel DG4 from Canada ??? , friday cant come quick enough.

Fantastic pics David, think these shots really show what Dorset is all about, its got to be the greatest show on earth and I think that anyone interested in preservation should try and visit at least once in their lives, well done again.
