Cool Splendid weekend in Lincolnshire

Just spent the weekend with Lincolnshire model engineers who held their open day at the club track in North Scarle.

over 30 miniatures ranging from a 6" showmans tractor to a rather small, but none the less excellent burrell roller, Also in attendance was The Mighty Atom which roaded from Collingham to be there for Sunday.

Sorry their are not more pictures, but there was an engine to look after!

With a nod to DavidJE and Eric Lloyd Pritchard of Angelsey, couldn't resist turning this picture sepia

6am, the sun was just rising over the mist - tried a moon lit shot, but not possible with my phone!

Breakfast on a sunday morning, and the sun was hot!

better set the smokebox timer so it doesn't burn

10am and the posh end of the field is just lighting up!

Thanks for looking

A great weekend and thanks to the organisers.

Ian

Ha Ha, you were too busy being fed! Heard Jack being interviewed on the radio this morning, then adverts this evening. Buxworth will be good, and the lad will be entertaining as well, magic of steam all day, then close up magic in the evening.

yes, my dad built it, he decided he wanted to build one, but was not satifisfied with the drawings and castings that were available, so with a general arrangement and a lot of photographs he made the patterns and build the engine.

It is an accurate representation of a 65hp case which lives in minnesota.

The castings are available through John Rex,

I don't know of any others that have been completed, although a few have been started.
