Default NTET Road Run - 27 September 2014

One of those special days which seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye. From arriving on site just after 7am and leaving nearly 12 hrs later I didn't stop, so much to see.

There were engines which I didn't see all day despite taking in all 3 routes, it was just impossible to see everything. The variety and quality of engines was exceptional. Everyone who was there will no doubt remember it for many years. Looking forward to the next one in 2024!

A selection of pics which initially stand out as memorable. Plenty of pics here but everyone will have had their own perspective on the day, please add them to this thread so I can see what I did miss.

What a brilliant day. Weather was fantastic. Had a lovely trundle out, I thing driving through a Ford in the road is a first for me (No it wasn't a Ford Fiesta) haha.

I noticed the Savage Steam Yaught centre engine didn't arrive back with the same engine it left with

Thanks for the brilliant pictures - was helping to run an event elsewhere.

One question why was (presumably) Alan Rundle trying to hide in the firebox of his engine, had it all got a bit much for him

It was good to see some of the younger generation of enginemen driving engines so well out on the road.

Had an absolutely fantastic day out and caught up with many old friends.

Well done to all concerned for organising such a great event.

It was indeed an amazing day. I had a great time taking my engine round. Such an impressive line up at the lunchtime stop of the red route.

Here are the minatures I caught up with - impressive to see a couple of the smaller ones on the middle route!
