Default Chipping Steam Fair

http://chippingsteamfair.com/

This is a lovely location in the heart of the Forrest of Bowland and the weather forecast is good. This is not a commercial event but was started as a fund raiser for the village hall and still provides funds for the local community and charities in the heart of Lancashire.

In the evenings the engines head into the village and everyone comes out to see them.

Jane will be heading there on Friday afternoon representing the Lancashire Traction Engine Club.

It was a crap start to the day. I took caravan home before show opened. When I got back around 1pm I was surprised that there were so many people about, sawing demonstrations running and miniatures gathered at the front or our engine. It got quite busy before we left at 3:30 as we had to get somewhere in time for a meal in the evening.

Chipping village was full both evenings which is always the highlight of this event. Jane went down with the new trailer full of people .

Had a great weekend at Chipping (again). No problems roading the wagon down there, or back. Which is a first!
We had to deal with a small injector issue over the weekend, but help was no more than a pint of beer away.
Thanks to all involved.
