Default Devon County Show 18th-19th & 20th of May 2017

With the loss several years ago now of the Royal Show at Stoneleigh and the Smithfield Show at Earls Court regional Shows such as Devon and of course my local Show The New Forest seem to be surviving, with the support of the paying public, Volunteers, Exhibitors and Traders long may they be there for us to enjoy even if the weather is rather dull as it was in Devon when I visited.

A few pics from my visit on the Friday. I didn't take many as most of the exhibits are familiar to me

This is a local event to me but I have never attended. I tried to apply to exhibit a stationary engine a few years ago, a Lister StartOMatic but was told that I would not be able to run it and I would have to pay a commercial rate to get in!! I don't think they understood the farm relationship of stationary engines, and probably still don't.

Royal Cornwall Show always has a good display of engines, fairground and other vintage vehicles...8,9, and 10 of June this year.
