I was contemplating attending this event, now I know you will be there Brian with Jane, I think we'll finally get the chance to meet. More than likely be Sunday unless I come up on my own whilst my wife is on her spa day on Saturday.

Shame its such a high admission price. I went the other year as a visitor and was shocked. This year its £14 Adult, whereas Welland, which is a hell of a bigger show with probably 3x times the Exhibits is only £12.

That depends on your circumstance Graham. Me going to Cumbria with a wife and 3 high school aged children would cost £28 where as the same family going into Welland would be £54.

You've also got to consider the distance.
From Preston, Welland is 142miles
To Cumbria, 50miles, its a big difference!

That put me off probably attending Cumbria, still contemplating whether to go down to Welland instead.

Hell of a distance but thoroughly enjoyed it last year

Ive been to Cumbria Steam and Welland, and I would definitely rather travel the extra distance to Welland. probably 20 -30 Showmans Engines, rough guess of over 50 full size Traction Engines/ road Loco's and Rollers, Full Size Steam Railways (Standard & Narrow Gauge), Wood sawing, Stone crushing and road making, Steam Navy, Tractor Pulling, Vintage Auction on the Friday, live music stages, Plus this year is the Special Pat Collins re-union. Just hope for some good weather.
