Default "Fowler Steam Cultivating Machinery" Book

Does anyone know of a likely source for Geoff Gilbert's book "Fowler Steam Cultivating Machinery 1900 - 1930"?

I've done a bit of searching around, looked on ebay and the out-of-print/rare-to-find bookshops but it seems as rare as rocking-horse whatsit...

Hello, it all depends if you want to own a copy or just have a read through. There are a few steam books out there that will fetch well over 100 pounds so I just go to the library and ask for it to be ordered in, usually takes 7 days and costs 80 pence. Saves having 100 pounds or more sat on the shelf !

Cheers Chris.

Cheers Chris, I hadn't tried the library yet. (it might be a good place to start, seeing as my local one's about 5 mins away) Good to know it's available through the library service too. I wasn't sure if it would be.

For about 80p it's probably the best first step too - I can take a gander and either photocopy interesting bits if there are a few, or decide if there's enough to make it worth buying one.

A quick follow-up to say that John didn't have a copy although he was very helpful. The local library computerised search thingy didn't come up with anything either

Patience payed off though by setting a watch on ebay. A mint condition book dropped onto the doorstep this morning for the princely sum of 23 quid! A Fascinating book with some of the works drawings in, which has saved a trip to the Reading M.E.R.L.
