Market Bosworth Miniature Traction Engine Weekend

I have just got home from a most excellent first time miniature steam rally put on by the Battlefield Line at Market Bosworth Station. There were over 20 miniature traction engines ranging up to 6" scale, plus one full size engine for comparison, and a very good indoor display of model layouts. The atmosphere was friendly, the engines were free to run around, refreshments were available and of course there was also the railway to ride on.

Well done to all concerned. Long may it continue !!

The miniature showman's 'The Griffin' was powering the organ and sounded lovely working hard.

We popped in on Sunday - pure chance we stumbled apon it. We had a very lovely time. Lots to see and do, very friendly engine owners. And excellent value for money.

Thank you so much to everyone who came, both with engines and as visitors. We had 24 miniature traction engines at the show over the weekend, and it will return on April 26th/27th 2014. Hi guys, I know this event was a few months ago now but I have been reading a lot on Traction Talk about lack of miniature photo's so I thought I would attempt to add some to some of the threads. However, I'm a bit useless on here when it comes to adding pics at the minute and am still learning the software so I thought I would add some to this thread as a bit of practise. The shots below show the engines around the yard during the weekend and the odd couple of pics from the pub up the road. We had 24 miniatures in attendance but I didn't get time to photograph all of them...I was too busy...but I tried my best!
