Hi John.

What is the go with the old McLaren (I have it down as 220)? I assume it has changed hands. A rare sprung-wheeled job that was rebuilt in the day with standard(ish) spokes.

I saw it some time ago (Burrell rally) and helped old mate cut the tree down that was growing through the engine. I couldn't stand to see an awesome old engine getting ruined by a tree. I even accidently left my hat in the tender!

That is Richard (in the last post) with the bluntest chainsaw you have ever seen, hacking away at the shrubbery and hitting a bit of steel along the way.

I chiselled the wood out of the steering wheel and other places, but we had to give up on the solid piece between the gear and boiler.

I hope it is going to a good home. Good engines those McLarens.
