Default Preston Services December Open Weekend

A few photos from today (Saturday) of Preston's annual December open weekend.
Has there ever been a line up of 6 different makes of steam wagon before?



Left to right, Foden 12228, Atkinson72, C&S 48637, Yorkshire 652, Sentinel 5471 and RSJ 34230



On the left Ruston Proctor (U/I) and right, Fowler 11594

may well have a trip out tomorrow, tidyed the shed today and got a few brownie points asmanaged to put the other half;s mg in!

sadly an old new one with a soft leakie top , but my dad has a 1934 one so thats not so bad,

PA, PB?

A bird at school (that I didnt manage to hook up with) dad had a totally original PB in the shed at home, it had a ford 10 engine in it, It was blue and didnt want much work to sort it.

Would have been perfect for VSCC light car trials.

pa in red with wire wheels, i'll hunt out a pic. got two and built into one, from strubby raf base and one from a chicken run near lincoln near my great grans. handles like the mgf! and probably goes better! got the standard engine but it has been skimmed and ally higher comp pistons.

It can't be as bad as a MGF they had to modify there suspension for the MG challenge to stop them getting lapped by MG Midgets.
