Default Gloucestershire Steam Extravaganza 2010

Loads to see, as always, a new layout and hundreds of of TT members! A selection from me:

Excellent collection of rollers as is the norm at Kemble.

Aveling 5853 was at Kemble in steam for the first time

Burrell 2003 "Diamond Queen" now lives locally and was attending Kemble for the first time.

Tasker Convertible Tractor 1902 was hauling round the original front roll from the engine.

Fowler T3 15964 has changed appearance recently with new livery and now with no canopy.

An engine I've not come across before, Aveling 11446, Seagry.

Engine John's 6" Burrell RL pulling 30 odd tons of Burrell hardware.

All eyes were on the Vulcan bomber.

Then the rain came.

Well done to the organisers and thank you to everybody who has attended with exhibits.

A cracking event again.

A superb collection of exhibits - with the Vulcan being the icing on my cake.

The one tiny thing that really impressed us most was being offered a wrist band for our eldest to put a mobile number on - such a simple idea but one we had not seen at a rally before.

Despite the rain we really enjoyed it (coats, trousers etc still drying now!). Great to catch up with a lot of people too

Looking forward to next year.

Some from today. Much better for pictures today with the sun out.

I'll try and get more on Steam Scenes this week. Roll on 2011!

Ace! So many nice engines. Looks like a brilliant do. The little T3 in Fowler brown looks really good.

We have been doing this for several years now, and we are pleased to say it works extremely well and cuts down any stressful periods during 'incidents' for parents and organisors alike.

A superb weekend.

Thanks to Matt and Rachel for their efforts.

Thanks should also go to Sawman for his hospitality, to Ted for cheffing lunches for 20, to Sarah for making Chilli for 20 odd and to the various providers of beer!

Good company and a brilliant rally.

Great to see the youngsters being allowed to get hands on.

Thanks to all.

Just to echo the comments above, a cracking show and a fantastic display of Steam. Shame I didn't meet as many people as I wanted but there's always next time!

I hope you dont mind if I add a few photo's to this thread that I took on the Sunday!

As usual, more photo's form this event can be found at TractionTime
