Plenty of coal, engines and happy owners here at Cerney today. Brilliant rally, brilliant atmosphere, and organised by an Engine owner who understands how a steam rally should be set up and run. Everyone boycott Pickering and head to Gloustershire!!

A few pictures I've took on my phone just to show everyone what they are missing.

In the sense of ' To do a Pickering ' , or ' A right Pickering ' etc .

Just got back from pikeyring today...... I did enjoy the show despite the best efforts of the organisers....... It was a bit disorganised to say the least, and seems to get worse every year. No field for us to camp in when we arrived, left crammed up in a small compound for 3 hours, lots of frayed tempers.
One of the security guards said there was no money in the kitty for arm bands or programmes...... I find it hard to believe that the event doesnt make money. What do they do with it all?
As has already been stated it will apparently be the last show there, and rumour has it that it may (or may not) move to Malton.
I'll be sorry to see it end.

It would be interesting to see what site they have in mind at Malton, I guess the town could do with a boost not sure it would have the same road run potential! would be good if it was near the railway as the Scarbrough flyer runs through but I just cant think of a site big enough after living there eight years

Don't know what all the fuss was about.
Had 4 good days driving a saw bench, great road run to Thornton Le Dale in one of the best Fodens around.
Looking forward to an easy weekend at Driffield next weekend.
