Default Battlefield Miniature Steam

I've just returned back from the Battlefield Railway Minuature Steam weekend in Market Bosworth and being as miniatures don't get to feature on here much I thought I'd share a few photos that I took whilst there. Enjoy!

To finish off with here are photo's of the three full size steam that also attended (Allchin General Purpose Traction Engine 1261 of 1903 , Aveling & Porter F Type Roller 11240 "Louise" of 1925 & Aveling & Porter Slide Valve Roller 9024 "Rosetta" of 1919)

Always a good rally and Sam and the team work hard to make it happen. Sadly don't think I'll get to see it this year, although should drive over station bridge on my way to steam Pedler tomorrow (Sun).

Default The Greatest Thanks :)

Hi everyone. I just want to thank anyone and everyone who exhibited or visited our event. Thankfully the weather men got it totally wrong and it was a full on ice cream van weekend That was certainly much better than the 'don't leave the house' weather that was forecast

All in all after a few cancellations we had just over 50 on the Saturday and around 45 on the Sunday as far as the miniatures go. We were thankful to have a lovely collection from across the country and some wonderful engine owners who were fantastic company. Couple that with the displays, the working area team, the organ and our other bits & bobs and we put on a great show so a pat on the back to all involved

The appreciation whistle up on the Sunday afternoon was overwhelming and I thank everyone involved for your kindness - I am genuinely so pleased that you enjoyed your weekend. Thank you, thank you so much
