Titfield Thunderbolt w/e,
Just returned from a fantastic weekend at the North Norfolk Railway celebrating the 60th anniversary of the release of that wonderful Ealing Comedy, 'The Titfield Thunderbolt'. These photographs contain railway locomotives so anyone of a nervous disposition, look away now.
Holt Station cunningly disguised as Titfield  The star of the show. 4104 and Wisbeach & Upwell coach   The closure notice  Pearce & Crump . . .   Aveling & Porter 5590 and our own 'Sid James'  The car used in the film posing alongside 5590  Gallopers at Holt  The other participant 92203 'Black Prince'  A pleasure to meet 'Sid James' who had come all the way from Swindon with Aveling 5590. Many thanks to all at the North Norfolk for their attention to detail . . . a great weekend.

Thanks Pedlers mate, it was a pleasure to meet you aswell. Great photos, a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and much busier than it looks in the photos. A very well organised event which even included a coach and train race with every departure of 1401 from Sheringham!
Yes Bosiboz she did work from new for GF Tomlinson of City Road, Derby until 1929 when sold to Barnes Bros via a dealer. I would love a picture from that period if anyone has one!

I wounder if Arther J Rank thorught that one of the Ealing Comedys released by his company would still be this popular 50 years on???
