Charles Burrell Museum closing do.

Hello Minatures owners,

I have received the email copied below from one of the volunteers at the Charles Burrell Museum (Janet). I took my engine to the opening do at Easter and was the only one miniature there! Which was a bit sad compared to the gatherings we used to have there. So Janet has asked me to put a post on TT to try and drum up some more visitors for the closing do on the 31st of October. I was wondering if you or any of your members might like to attend the Charles Burrell closing event which is on Saturday, 31/10/15. We plan to be open 10 till 3. Unfortunately the shops are open that day so we won't have full use of car park but we plan to section some off and have the engines outside. We plan to be there nice and early to enable sectioning off an area and steaming engines ready. We are trying to plan ahead and make the closing day go well (not that we want to come to end of season). Let us know if anyone wants to attend. See you soon.

would be good to see you Tim. Hope Dorset goes well although the weather looks poor. I always get to this time and wish I was going but off to Leicestershire to a Vintage do there.

Keep posting details of Burrell Museum do, I will try to visit. Perhaps "end of season do" might sound a little better. Had quite a shock when I read Burrell Museum closing.....!

Which Leicestershire vintage do is that Rich?

its the Cosby show. My understanding is its a vintage show completed with aircraft which i suspect due to the recent problems maybe toned done some. In trust I was invited by a guy who was asked to see if he could arrange some steam to attend. I think its the first year for steam. I am going on the friday afternoon and staying for the weekend. Like Dorset but its too big for us so going here and looking forward to it.

I am keen to go to The Thetford do as its only a few miles down the road but no info so far.

Yes would be good to see you again, I have not been out much this year the engine its had work done on it over and is now able to attend shows etc.
