Default Masham steam rally 18th 19th july

ADVANCE WARNING anyone attending masham this year can you please be aware that the junction on the A1 at sinderby "quernhow cafe" is totally closed untill november for the upgrade to motorway you will have to use A61 via ripon or the A684 via bedale apparently the signs for this closure are appalling and we are contacting the highways but will put more info nearer the rally thanks

We will have our two 3" Marshalls there, with hopefully new and improved riding trolleys.
And i will second that about the weather. Sunny days hopefully.

We put the roller etc on the field this afternoon having seen fridays forecast. It was good to see Ian Vinton and crew arrived with the roller. Also on the field already was Tony Hunts Burrell showmans engine and Keith Collins with his Fowler and not forgetting Richard Prestons excellent Foster electric lighting engine.
Should be a good weekend.

Any news on the field situation? It's never stopped raining up here in Durham since about 3PM yesterday. If the rally was up here it would be a definate non starter.
Weather looks good for the weekend though, will be a shame if the field is waterlogged....

Still raining up here, but rang my boss in York at lunchtime and she said it was dry down there. Who knows? Fingers crossed.
