Default Birkenhead Park Transport Festival 17&18Sep

Just a heads up for the fourth Birkenhead Park Transport Festival this weekend. There will be a flyby of Spitfires on the Saturday at 2:00pm.

Does anyone know how many full size traction engines are expected here, and which narrow gauge locomotives are due to appear.

I'm trying to decide whether to go to this event tomorrow, and can't find out much about it online. The website doesn't contain much information either.

It suggests something from Ffestiniog/Welsh Highland which says to me either Palmerston, Britomart or Lilla.

Have just checked the Ffestiniog website, and it mentions Britomart and Lilla.

Both locomotives will be the the Birkenhead Festival of Transport on Saturday and Sunday 17th and 18th. September. Britomart will be a static exhibit, and Lilla will be in steam, providing passenger rides throughout the weekend in our historic four wheeled Ashbury carriage No.10.
