Default Grand Henham Steam Rally - after hours.

My pictures during the day weren't too good. (I thought someone else might post some.) However I was there when three engines managed to escape in the evening and find a pub a few miles away.

Burrell 'Devonshire' no. 2626 of 1903 'Spitfire' from The Charles Burrell Museum.

Marshall 'S' type no. 7793 of 1924 'Aurora'.

Aurora arrived first and turned all heads in the pub yard.

Followed by Spitfire.

The third engine was Burrell SCC no. 3125 of 1909 'Princess'.

The three made a fine sight.

I was able to go back on Monday morning. Aurora was still there.

As was Ruston & Hornsby compound roller no. 115023 of 1922.

Also Garrett roller no. 34265 of 1923 'Consuelo Allen' from the Long Shop Museum. (Note the Garrett Suffolk Punch tractor next to it.)

The roller seen here on the sort of road it would have been making when new.

And then taking a short cut through Henham Park.

Finally Fowell no. 108 of 1922 'Percy'.

Making an impressive sight with it's train of thresher, water trailer and straw buncher.

Percy also took a short cut.

The crew are not camera shy. I just caught them at the wrong moment but in a nice setting.

As always, thanks for the entertainment.
Bill.
