FOBCO “STAR” ½" Capacity Bench Drilling Machine
Serial number 30144
Single Phase Crompton Parkinson motor 1425RPM giving 4 speeds through belt pulleys:-
4260/1990/1020/475 rpm
NOTE Spindle Start/Stop on this machine is by the manufacturers built in rotary switch, there is no push button stop/start and no “No Volt Release” preventing the machine restarting if the power supply is interrupted and then restored.
Table 8½" (220mm) square – table unmarked.
Depth gauge wheel and quill stop.
Jacobs No 34 0 - ½" drill chuck with key.
Quill extends and retracts smoothly. This model of the “Star” drilling machine has the chuck taper integral with the spindle, i.e. the chuck is not mounted on a separate Morse taper arbour fitting into a Morse taper socket in the spindle.
A solid, British-made drilling machine.
Drilling vice included :- 2 1/16" jaw opening, 2¼" jaw width.
