Yes one of many possibilities, once the canopies and the raining of burning hot shite has stopped its the next item on the list stopping the oil rain ....
I am preferring the re-cut thread option I do like Davids idea of gluing the lid on and fitting a bung ... but I know somebodies going to unscrew the lid at the wrong time ...
