Default Wallis and Steevens 10 ton Advance 7931

Wallis and Steevens 10 ton Advance Steam roller 7931 reg OT5350

Built in 1927 and worked for F.J Moore lime and stone quarries in Plymouth. Later for Bardon Hill Quarries.

Has just undergone a major boiler overhaul in 2022 and now wants for nothing. Overhaul included a new barrell, inner firebox, tubeplate, and bottom side skirts around the outer wrapper. Hydraulic done June 2022.

Whilst in pieces the rear axles have been skimmed and rear roll bushes put back to correct tolerance. Pins and bushes in the floating axle arrangement have been renewed.

All remaining components were shot blasted and engine was fully repainted. Any cracked/broken castings replaced with new.

Rubbered rolls done in 2010 by Reliant rubber rides well on the road and is quite fast.

New chromed firebars with chilled tops from ragsdales.

New galvanised internal spark arrestor fitted.

Sale includes fitted sheets, firing irons, spare set of tubes, any patterns or spares for the engine, historic documents, photographs etc
