Hello,
For sale is my 2" Clayton & Shuttleworth Undertype Steam Lorry. Built to the design published in Model Engineer - i have copies of all the articles, a few drawings and previous boiler tests which the buyer can have with the engine.
It was built by a retired employee of JCB (hence the livery), to a very good standard. It was then given to JCB and put on show in their Reception area. It was then sold to a guy who noticed it when visiting, which is who i bought it off.
It steams very well, surprising easy for a 2" model. It has a axle pump, injector (which works ok, but isn't great) and a hand pump. It has recently had full hydraulic and steam tests, which it passed both. The engine runs very well, and has pulled two adults (neither of us slim) along a concrete path.
The seat was professionally made for the previous owner, and is in excellent condition and very comfy! The seat and foot rails are easily removable if you wanted to put the model as a static display.
If you would like any more details or info, either PM me or email:
