Smile Kemble Steam Extravaganza

This weekend at Kemble Airport, Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

65 Full Size Engines including: 8 Genuine Showmans Engines, 15 Sentinel Waggons, and many other examples of engines of various type and description and of course maker.

Large Demonstration Area (The Runway!) where engines are put through their paces. Big working Arena with timber beches, threshing drums, stone crushers etc.

Countryside arena - rare breeds, animals, rurul skills etc.

Air displays - Vintage and Modern aircraft mixing in up in the skies above the show.

Over 8oo Vintage Cars, 150 Tractors, 200 Motorbikes, 150 Commercials, 100 Military,
90 Buses and everything in between.

Vintage Fair including: Steam Gallopers, Waltzer, Big Wheel, Slip, Steam Yaughts, dodgens, swing boats - rides will be driven by steam.

Trailer rides and pleasure flights..... 200 Trade Stands, Bars, Catering (inc. The Famous Parrett Cafe).

Very rare Engines on display as well - Vintage Spirit Marquee, RRA, NTET, SDC, REVS, and many car clubs represented on site.

The event is held on an active Airfield (although now known as an Airport) Ground is hard and firm even in wet conditions, but the sun has been shining all week when everyone else seems to be getting the rain.

Supporting: Diabetes UK, County Air Ambulance and the Cobalt Appeal Fund.

If you have not been before, this is the year in which to pop in and see what all the fuss is about, have a great day (although you need 2) and support some very worthwhile causes.
