Clwyd Veteran and Vintage Club 2016.

This weekend, the CVVVS held their annual club rally at Oswestry Showground. It seemed a little quiet, although we were fighting for the dates with Welshpool and Cosford Airshows, and Shrewsbury Carnival. Never the less, 5 full size engines were in attendance, and a good selection of miniatures. Unfortunately the weather turned very wet on Sunday afternoon and the showground was empty by 3.00. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the miniatures, but here are the full size engines.

The highlight of the rally for me, was the run out to Whittington chippy, and then to "The Old Boot" for a drink.

Having Moonraker parked alongside Panther, made it look like a miniature!

An enjoyable weekend. Thanks to my father and my auntie, who is visiting from Australia, for steering for me.

P.s. James, if you're reading this, Welsh steam coal next year please!

I notice you only managed to overtake Steve while he was stationary!

We were actually keeping up with them quite well, thanks to my Lego tyres and the rough road surface for them.

Was taking it easy as the old one had forgotten to oil the big ends - hence the stop in the layby...

Can't get the staff!!!
