James, i think theres a few on here looking for a first engine, i'm sure your friend will find one, however i think he needs to be less picky as theres not so many about however if he's looking for a done one, then cheffins have some to sell on behalf of ted wooton including an allchin roller, a marshall and a fowler DNC
prices are (in my opinion) steep though at around 55k without boiler certs. you need to contact Willem Middlemiss. there'll be some avelings for sale in norfolk in september!

You will find it awfully expensive if you try Willem's mobile at the moment . He has just left for Tom and Sarah's wedding in NZ .

I know of a nice little aveling roller up here in north yorkshire. It has just had its 10 year hydraulic test and is a nice looking tidy roller. I can pass on details if interested?

For the record, if its a UK mobile your calling it doesnt matter where that mobile is located, it costs the caller the same amount. Its only the receiver that gets charged to receive the call if they are not in the uk :)
