Steam at Whipsnade Zoo.
 
Hello all ,
i do not know if this is a yearly event at the zoo or if this was a one-off the pics were taken on the 07/05/2007 and the engines would have been local to Bed's.

What lovely pictures, thanks for posting them.

Seeing the pictures of Crimson Lady reminded me of my good friend and much missed George Fensom who owned her for so many years.

Is there still a steam up held here?

sadly not, though I do hold my breath! would like one next year for the 40th year of the railway. Mike Rule is booked to come in December.

The engines in the pictures are as follows :--

Photo 1, 2 & 5, Burrell no 4055.
Photo 3, Aveling & Porter no 9370.
Photo 4, Marshall no 43560.
Photo 6, Marshall no 43560, Aveling & Porter no's 6530 & 10596.
Photo 7 & 8, Foden no 12364,
Photo 9, Marshall no 43560 & Burrell no 4055.

All the engines are Hertfordshire based except Aveling & Porter no 6530 which is Bedfodshire based and the Foden which comes from London.
