Pickering
 

We will be visiting Pickering this year for the first time. We are grateful to Malc-Y above as we are planning to do the same as him and spend a few days in the area. We will be riding the steam loco and introducing ourselves to Verne amongs other things.

Is there a better day to visit the rally? Is everything there on Thursday and Friday or does more stuff show up for the weekend?

Is there anything else we should know?

Saturday is probably the best day, people tend to pack up on Sunday afternoon and go home.

two good road runs thorton le dale friday and pickering town centre saturday.

Road run to T Dale is much better if you want to see engines on the road, but good atmosphere in town centre on Saturday night. I would do the rally on either Friday or Saturday.

We will be roading in from Helmsley on the Wednesday.
