2016 Australian Miniature Traction Engine Rally

Has come and gone and I had fun.

Day 1 was the best with nice weather and 20 something engines in attendance.

No doubt there will be a report in AME

Day 2 was quieter due to the weather but those in attendance still had fun.

Traction engines don't mind getting wet even if drivers do.

My engine behaved perfectly and on Saturday morning we did the run to the weir and back. 4 and a bit Km round trip.

After lunch we went the other way but limited ourselves to half hour out then return. Back was starting to complain.

Times like this I wish she was a bit faster.

Sunday we stayed a bit closer to home in case the sky opened up. It chose to drizzle all day.

Food and company were perfect.

Below is the line up Pic from Sunday.

Hard to get these due to the spread out nature of the rally.

It's a bit like herding chickens. Hard to arrange but worth the effort.

What is the miniature 5th in from the left-hand side? Looks Foden in profile which would make it very unusual!

Actually for the last month or so it has been bucketing down.
Storms, wind, floods. water everywhere.
Talk about a land of drought and flooding rain.

Ever since the government placed our first ever order ( which can't be reversed ) with the de sal plant for xxx litres of water.

Funny that.

What a superb little engine! Stunning, are there any miniature Foden aggies on the UK rally scene?
