Does anyone have any background info on NM74 -Fowler 18539. According to the TER it's a clas R3, but the others of that class are all RL or SRL whereas this is listed as a TE.

that is correct she is built around an R class road loco boiler identical to "Renown" etc

either customer ordered it or it was a boiler which had been in stock for a long time so it just got used.

That's an ex Barnes Bros roller, they put that bunker extension on.
