Boconnoc Steam Fair - 24/25 July 2015
A selection taken at Boconnoc today. The rain had stopped by the time I got there in the afternoon and the ground is holding up well, lots of movement of course on the hard standing. Plenty of new engines to Boconnoc, well worth a visit if you can make it.
Three proper convertible engines all from differing makers, a rare site: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...2-DSC_1989.jpg Black Jim on his new steed: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...8-DSC_2041.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...3-DSC_1970.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...2-DSC_2060.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...2-DSC_2079.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...5-DSC_2111.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...5-DSC_2165.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...8-DSC_2198.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...4-DSC_2213.jpg The Shambrook family engines are making a rare appearance outside Devon, only a couple of times this has happened since both engines were built: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...2-DSC_2250.jpg http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...9-DSC_2329.jpg Gladiator arriving through the trees as I left this evening: http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tth/15...5-DSC_2370.jpg I shall be back in the morning for more, can't wait. Here are a couple more of Cornish Maid and Cornishman with the beam load plus others from me yesterday. Once the sun came out properly it was a lovely day. However, this morning in St Ives it was absolutuly chucking it down so hopefully engines can get off site today. Al lot were already parking up on the road under the trees in readiness.
A big thanks to Chris "s-type" for inviting me onto his engine in the afternoon. I have now experienced driving around the estate road with the passenger trailer, brilliant afternoon in the sun. http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25468 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25467 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25466 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25474 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25469 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25471 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25472 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25473 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25479 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25481 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25480 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25475 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25476 http://www.tractiontalkforum.com/pic...ictureid=25477 |
