Quite impressed also at the amount of engines roading away on Sunday to various destinations, including at least two engines & the Foden bus through London, Gigantic in the middle of the night,

A fantastic day, I hope everyone got home safely.

Thanks Colin, I see you managed to get Blackbeard as we positioned him in from of the college for the obligatory photo at the end of the run, just sorry we did not bump in to each other for a chat, just so many people in the evening and a busy but enjoyable run during the day. Here is my picture from the front of the house taken on my phone, my daughter has got lots more and better ones from the whole day and I will share some on here once I get them off her camera.

Yes, a lot more seem to road out than roaded in. I was there all morning yesterday, I'll post a few pics later.

One from the long route, it was rather lonely out there in the morning, but credit to the lads on the McLaren road loco who did the 51 mile route, the only engine to do so. We passed them with about 15 miles to go to the lunch stop and they were arriving just as we were getting ready to leave. A good effort.

Did other ploughing engines do the 28mile route?

We saw only a few engines as we went around.

The Z7 and the BB1 did the shorter route I think. I'm not sure about Saunders ploughers but the shorter route again I think.

Quite a few engines were and are most years roaded to the rally two weeks before. The sound of clanking firing irons at 6.30 the morning after the night before will stay with me for a while. Amazing weekend!

We started on the long/medium route about 5 miles from the start, then moved onto the Green Man pub and was there till 4 pm.
Fab day, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
