For steam enthusiasts, the specific element of the Great War Festival of Transport that is well worth going to is the Great War Steam Fair. The link to the event is http://www.beamish.org.uk/events/great-war-steam-fair/ and if rumours are to be believed, this years event will be rather special.

Here is a link for some photos from last years events, courtesy of the Bon Accord Steam Engine Club Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2618362&type=3

And some more photos from Paul Cooks, Through the eyes of a Penguin Facebook Page - https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2911337&type=3

We will be there, so if you are coming along, please do come along and say hello.

Me too, counting the days, thinking of everything that's got to be done!

I'm thinking of everything that's got to be done before we road up to the event. It's not long when I think I have to fit in a trip to Sierra Leone before as well...

Sierra Leone, roading on strakes - I's say you'll need a nappy!

The Marshall & Trailer are making a return visit, looks to be shaping up to be one of the best yet. The Marshall was used during WW1 to haul supplies to the local T.A. camp amongst other things. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
