There's been lots of reports of the big 'Do' in Middle England last weekend, so I thought I'd wave a flag for what was going on in the Far East. (Well quite near Lowestoft, which is as far east as you can get.)
We had several heavy rain showers but, once they stopped, activity continued.

I hope Natal Taylor won't mind me calling him one of the grand old men of steam in East Anglia. He has owned this Wallis Expansion Engine (7497) since 1965 and has brought it to 40 of the 43 Henham rallies. (More rain on the way.)

Any more information on the blue foden wagon Bill? Not one I recognise!

I decided not to go this year after last years abysmal turn out (Dad went on his own), something I am now very much regretting as every one I spoke to since said what a great show it was, with a new man in charge at the helm of the steam section, who is doing much to rebuild it and get engines back again, some who haven't been for many years some who have not been before.

Things are looking up again for what could possibly be the UK's most easterly steam engine rally?

We was going to old Warden on the Sunday but this didn't happen after they put on facebook that the site was full and closed to any more visitors.

It didn't appear in the programme and its registration no. is not listed in the Traction Engine Register.
Anyone else know anything about it?

According to program built 1918 works no 7926 5 tons.

The Traction Engine Register gives the registration no. of 7926 as D 1396, not M 9602. Mind you, I know the TER isn't infallible - just like me!

The index at the back of the TER if you look up M 9602 says Foden 7926 although the main entry indeed says D 1396.

Steamscenes has M 9602 as well.

It was #18 in my programme.

is it the foden that went through the ullman sale a few years back? If so it's a bitsa supposedly comprising an early wagon and a later one, hence confusion on numbers

Good report and pictures I was there along with several volunteers from the long shop with Consuelo Allen. It was a great time. We roadies the engine there Friday and that's me steering it in the photo after we got out the mud hah
