Harrison M450 GP lathe 1500 BC

5 Attachment(s)
This has been tucked away at the back of the workshop gathering dust, hardly ever used these days.
It has not seen a lot of use for us but has done us proud making pins etc in emergencies.
It is not a new machine by a long shot but all works well although there is a degree of backlash in both the crosslide and carriage but i am informed that this can be adjusted out.
The lathe comes complete with:-
3 jaw chuck (fitted)
4 jaw chuck
face plate
3 point steady
fixed centre
live (revolving) centre

tried selling this on ebay but first try the guy thought it would fit it in his shed at the end of the garden and the second time ebay removed it due to the fact that i had said there was some tooling for sale seperately... I am done with ebay....!!

This has to be some use to someone here and I am at the point where it can go for not much money....

Any questions please pm me and I will do my best to answer
item in Rickmansworth near Watford.

For anyone interested this lathe is still for sale but minus the 3 point steady.
Also a problem has developed with the lathe in as much as the gearbox has now dumped all of its oil while it has been stood idle at the back of the workshop.
Hadn't noticed until I moved it out of the workshop recently and was faced with a nice pool of gear oil.
It appears to be leaking from the cover which has all the lathe controls on it, speed, gear selection etc..
I have not done any investigating so can not tell you the cause. All I can say is that the main castings are all intact so my best guess is that its a gasket or a seal..

There is also a question mark over the size of this machine.... I was always led to believe it was a 1500 BC but one person who came to view told me it was a short bed model and only 1000 BC
I have measured it and come up with a figure much closer to 1500 than 1000 but again its up to the buyer to make sure it is what he wants / needs

Anyway..
Now looking for offers considerably less than the original asking price.
If it does not sell this time I am cutting it up for scrap so if you are interested get in touch sooner rather than later
Collection only but loading available.

Last chance saloon for this one now.
After being screwed around by several people with this I am now at the end of my tether.
The lathe must be sold within the next 2 weeks or I take the Gas Axe to it.
Please DO NOT PM me unless you are genuinely interested. Please do not make me a an offer of under 650.00

Sorry if this comes across as churlish but to be quite honest I am fed up of putting myself out for people who don't seem to be all there in the intelligence department.....
Pictures are in my Album "Lathe"
The pic that has a red line superimposed on it under main gearbox panel shows the position of the oils leak.
