2016 Castle Fraser Steam Fair - Cancelled
 

Gutted to say the least. As a committee member, this was a difficult decision to make, but given the weather conditions this week and the forecast, we had to follow this course of action.

Steam Fair Cancelled

The Bon Accord Steam Engine Club committee regrets to inform their exhibitors and prospective visitors to the 2016 Castle Fraser Steam Fair, that due to the recent and forecasted adverse weather conditions the 2016 steam fair has been cancelled.
Any exhibitors and prospective visitors with any queries are asked to e-mail basec@bonaccordsteamclub.co.uk in the first instance.

Well, I was gutted for yourselves and ourselves!

We committed to go back in February and to be honest i didn't give the weather for the event a thought at the time

Having been in the area the last few days, I don't see the committee had any other choice other than to cancel. There was standing water in loads of fields around the area and most rivers were swollen and some were over the banks.

Never the less, we have just got back to Cornwall after a fantastic few days in Scotland thanks to some members of the Bon Accord committee.

We are extremely grateful to you all for your hospitality and wish you better weather for next years event.

Josh was already making plans for your event next year on the flight home!

I hope that we do not see any more cancelled rallies due to weather conditions.

We are close to midsummers day and today the house was so cold that we had to put the central heating on - this is madness - what has happened to summer?
