Fowler 7HP Compound - restoration incomplete

1907 7HP Fowler Traction Engine, 2 speed, compound.

New firebox, barrel, tubeplate all riveted. Stays wound in not hammered over. Smokebox not made as yet. Cylinder block not fitted.

Wheels, axles etc are all good. Rears are 6ft with rolled edges.

Cylinder block has been rebuilt and includes new and machined pistons, piston rods, cylinder covers, valves and valve rods. Original Fowler cylinder top was sourced and is with the block.

Tender, gears etc are all available as patterns. Original steering gear, winch, layshaft bracket, conrod, valve rods, crank bracket, axle boxes, 2nd shaft brackets.

Other sundries such as drawbar, hubcaps, fittings such as blow down, mechanical lubricator, drain cocks and other parts.

Flywheel is missing but crank is there, albeit its use will be questionable as there’s some cracking – great opportunity to three speed with a bell flywheel!

Various other new parts such as steering wheel, crank bracket and bearing caps, rebuilt crossheads and slippers etc.

Still missing: 1 x conrod, 1 x expansion link, drop links, eccentric straps and crank balance weights.

Boiler is currently sitting on blocks with all other parts not fitted.

I don’t want to sell, as its an ideal candidate to three speed and I’ve done loads already!! Unfortunately I’m currently working abroad and I may need the cash to fund a house purchase!

Serious enquiries only using PM please.
