4 Weeks to Go

Hi all,

Four weeks to go and we'll be setting up for GMW at Statfold Barn...hopefully in better weather than this!

Tickets are still very much available and are going well at www.statfoldbarnrailway.co.uk

We've added more miniatures to the line up now and there will be over 100 I imagine both days - all being well :)

We've also added two lunchtime musical performances - "The Vernon Sisters" on Saturday, "Go Ukulele Crazy" on Sunday

So, as a final update, the final attraction list for 2018 is as follows :D ...
* 100+ miniatures in 1.5" - 9" scales in steam and running
* Three full size road engines - including Fowler Showmans "Repulse" (with Organ) and Fowler A8 "Elsa"
* Six SBR steam locomotives in steam on the railway
* Driver for a Fiver and Footplate Rides with HC "Fiji" (age restrictions apply)^
* Statfold Barn Tramway featuring Tram Car No14 in use^
* Ashley Steam Gallopers^
* Model engines on the loose all around the site
* Musical performances by "The Vernon Sisters" (Sat) and "Go Ukulele Crazy" (Sun)
* Bouncy Castles^
* Tomy Railway & Colour In papers of SBR steam engines for younger visitors
* Model stands including 16mm, Meccano, Model Engineering indoors
* Line Up and BIG Whistle 2pm Each Day
* First GMW event to feature the new "Statfold Barn Roundhouse Museum" featuring the SBR Trust engines (its lovely!)
* Trade Stands including Crafts and Baking
* Catering/Refreshments available

(^extra charges payable)

Tickets are very much available on the SBR website at www.statfoldbarnrailway.co.uk
Adults £10, Under 14 £5, Family (2a+2c) £25
All tickets should be purchased in advance via the website (they're going well now, don't miss out!) :)

The rostered SBR steam locomotives are (subject to availability) -
"Isibutu", "Harrogate", "Trangkil No4", "Howard" and "Alpha" on service plus "Fiji" on Driver for a Fiver (No19 is the spare)

Ticket entry includes unlimited steam train rides (ride all day if you please - catch the train to the Roundhouse etc) and of course the show and the model stands and entry to the Roundhouse

We're trying our best to make this another successful GMW so please do come along and enjoy it

Thank you all for your time

Sam,

Well done and thanks for the effort you put into organising this event. Once again a very enjoyable weekend with the added bonus that it was warmer this year and even the rain held off during the day! We should perhaps also thank Graham Lee for making such a splendid and interesting venue available to us all. Just a year to wait to do it all again!

All the best,

Paul.
