Hi Tim, wonder if you would be interested in a a set of wheels for Thetford town, finished in red and lined in gold leaf, completed to a very high standard, also front axle assembly , painted and lined, chimney, finished in black. And finally smoke box and door in primer. I'm going to put them on eBay in the next few days.If you send me your email address I will forward pictures taken a couple of weeks ago.

Thetford Town

Hello Brian,

Thank you for your reply, I bought the engine as an unfinished project on ebay a few weeks ago, you may have seen it.
I think I have most of the bits, and some I can't identify, hence the urgent need for drawings.
I believe I am short of a crank, (the one supplied looks too small) some of the smaller gears, governor bits, cable drum and safety valve castings. If you have any of these smaller item I would be interested.

Best regards

Tim

Hi tim,

i also recently (about 4 moths ago) Bought a thetford town on ebay as a project so am in the same situation as you. however mine was 99% complete when i got it. take a look at the pics on my thread, hopefully some of those will help.

AJ Reeves ( now called Reeves 2000 i think) sell all the castings and parts for them if you did need any new bits, pretty sure i saw a crank on the list!

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the information.
I took my boiler to our local model club this morning (Pembrokeshire Model Engineers) and I now have a tested and certified boiler, much to my relief.
This is a major step forward as it now gives me the confidence to start the build.

Regards

Tim
