We finally got into the play pen Sunday evening and worked up the trailer weights up to the generator... the noise from the chimney was deafening, literally! We have burnt out the oil and char from the blast pipe recently and the difference is very noticable.

Wouldn't have got up the big hill though, but with every one gone home Sunday evening we should have tried!

You can have too much of puffing . After a day on a single cylinder ploughing engine many years ago my head was booming .
