Whitwell Rally?
 
Any one on here been or are going to the Whitwell rally? Just wondered if it is a good rally to attend?

To close to St. Albans for me Steve, trouble with working weekends :( marsworth the following Sunday that's a good one day event

I go Steve, it's not a bad rally but it often seams to suffer with bad weather.

I go most years as I live in the next village, its a small scale event (how I like them).

Worth going for the day, maybe not the weekend unless you're showing.

We use to go but don't see it as a rally worth getting out of bed for anymore. Great shame as it use to be one of the highlights of the year

Allchin 4.5 inch Clara is going and there is at least one showmans expected.

there's normally a dozen or so miniatures from 3 inch to 6 inch and a good road run on Saturday night.

Most sections are ok, nothing special but a reasonable selection, the stationary engine section is normally a bit pathetic but that's par for the coarse around here as there are no real stationary engine enthusiasts around here.

I would say its worth a trip from Bedford for half a day.
