Nick Baker's Burrell RL 'Duke of Kent' is always there normally in steam, often there will be 1 visiting engine, the Hindley steam wagon was there this year, and normally a few miniatures. Yes it is a public event, the commercials gather in the car park by Scats, and the surrounding industrial estate, and steam, tractors and the odd stationary engine in the yard pretty much opposite to Scats.
Hope this helps
Jim

There is always more than 1 visiting engine. I expect there were getting on for 10 full size engines this year.

Last year there was Nick Bakers Burrell road loco, Turbo Vincent with the Hindley wagon and me with my 4 inch scale Garrett as well as commercial vehicles, cars, stationary engine etc etc.
Shane i think you are reffering to the carnival mate?
