Winter Steam in Manchester
 

Five of us brave souls (or foolhardy) will be braving the weather this weekend to steam our engines into Manchester town centre to attend the Science and Industry Museum, all the usual attractions the museum has to offer plus a Victorian fun fair. And it's free to get in!

Have fun lee, hope it doesn't snow or your buggered, you'll never get home

I steamed Jane two weekends ago and decided to have a run to the pub half a mile away to loosen the crud in the boiler before blowing down, it snowed on the way but didn't stick. It also snowed again on the way back. In the evening I was washing out the boiler etc. in proper snow, we had a couple of inches down when I had finished.
