Prestwood Steam Rally

The Committee of the Chiltern Traction Engine Club has regretfully had to announce the cancellation of the Prestwood Steam rally due to weather conditions

I am going to take that with a pinch of salt until their own website states otherwise.

Because I have not clue who you are. And the vast majority of the paying public don't know anyone who is a part of the rally either.

Until the message is actually made public (as in viewable on a far more public website, specifically the Prestwood steam rally website) I shall continue to assume otherwise.

Important information: Cancelled 2016 rally
It is with great regret to announce that this year’s Chiltern Traction Engine Club’s rally is to be cancelled.
After a long discussions between the Committee and Land Owners, it was felt that the risk was too high due to the site being totally saturated with all of the rain we have had here in the Chilterns over the past few months.
The tough decision was made as a result of the last cancelled rally four years ago when the site was wrecked when vehicles and engines had to be recovered and this took many months for nature and contractors to repair it back to grazing land.

Please can we ask that you share this message to other user-groups, people who don’t have access to the internet or to people and exhibitors you know was planning to attend this year’s rally.

We would like to apologise again for this inconvenience and thank you all for your support and look forward to see you again at next year’s rally on the 1st & 2nd July 2017.
CTEC Committee.
