Adam,
Try Bridport Foundry. When they bought the Plastow name a few years ago, they discovered plans for a sawbench amongst the papers and have now produced castings for it. We have had a couple at Berrybrook Steam and they are excellent with not a huge amount of machining to do. They even have a nice numbered brass makers plate. Call John or Steve on 01308 420790
Cheers
Michael

That saw bench Bridgepoot produce, is just a table saw, of quite small proportions, and not one I would feel to keen to use. It not a Rack Saw Bench, like in the drawings, which is 11 foot long, and can cut logs 8" dia and 5 foot long, with a 18" dia saw blade. Seen one (think it was the author of the drawings) in action, most impressive and a real crowd gatherer, and is something you can used with out getting your fingers any were near the blade (as the wood is attached to the table).

If it is from the chap I think it is, here are some photos.

I saw that one last year at Market Bosworth, Rushden, Strumpshaw, Rutland Water, Cambridgeshire rally, Ramsey, Kettering, and Prickwillow. Make his four inch Burrell bark out at times.

I understand the sawn wood is used for kindling and the sawdust is used in a motor garage for oil spill.
