My report has progressed to the point where it is fit for public perusal.

Some 500 engines are listed and illustrated, there are a few gaps in the photographic record. these are indicated and if you can help, then there's an email address at the bottom of each page.

My thanks to all those who have already provided pictures for those engines I missed or plain failed to take a photograph.

Just as the programme listing was imperfect in its details (and I don't just mean no shows and extra engines), so will be my report. Please let me know of any errors or omissions you have spotted.

Old Warden 2018
 

Perhaps not the novelty value of this year's GDSF but a thoroughly enjoyable show nevertheless, with plenty of warm sunshine on the Saturday and patches of it on the Friday.

I also got to 138 engines plus the pumps and freelance engines.

FFF&B Show 2018
 

The Fairford, Faringdon, Filkins and Burford Ploughing Championships and Country Show takes place on the last Saturday of September each year. This year's event at Clanfield attracted 15 steam engines plus a McLaren Fowler ploughing engine conversion, with a good working section.
