Great set of photo's Toby, I must agree with you that this was one of the best Dorsets for a few years, what is that indefinable thing that makes one year good & another not so good?
Did anyone get a photo of one of my fav. engines , the Allchin 'Ellen'?

I didn't spend too long in the 'working field' this year unfortunately as a result of only being at the show for one day. I did get this quick shot including 'Ellen' but she wasn't really the main focus, and it is only a 'quick shot'! As for what made this year so good, I think the last couple of shows have been a bit ordinary (still an amazing show!), and moving the sawing/threshing area, the roller special, Boadicea/Gigantic and of course the weather all helped make the show different!

Thanks Toby, I think she, along with a few other types of engine epitomises what a working engine should look like.

Hi Jim, i'm glad you like the way Ellen looks, she is often commented on from both sides of the coin, some people can't believe that she is a loved engine because she isn't all shiny & other people love her the way she is, It's great that we can 'spud up' & paddle about as we did the weekend before GDSF & not worry about the messy outcome ! Cheers Ian

Hi Ian, I was the one who came up & had a word with you at the hog roast on the Friday evening when I assume it was you on Ellen.
