1920's P&H dynamo
 

This is a 1920/30's Powell & Hanmer 'Model B' Car Generator.

Would have been on the market in two forms, likely as a kit with lamps and and battery etc, sold either to a vehicle manufacturer for fitment new, or to retrofit to newfangled electric lamps to older cars or commercial vehicles.

1000Watt (12V@ 8.5watt) at 1000RPM

Just the sort of thing you would see on a steam wagon in the 1920's and 30's, or perhaps steam tractor.

This one is all there, inc leads and cover, has been dry stored and turns nicely. Basically in good original condition and not messed with. As per the photos it has no pulley.

At one time it was once allocated to fit electric lamps on the Marshall, but it is not something I want to do, so it is now surplus to requirements. The CAV lamps it was procured to power I hope now adorn a nice 30's Foden Diesel!

A very difficult item to source for a period lighting set.
