Foden Undertypes...

Looking for anything and everything related to Foden Undertype Wagons specifically the Speed's but E-Types too; be it documents, photo's, parts etc.

I have spoken to many of the key people you may suggest and they have been incredibly kind and helpful but I feel this may further increase my chances.

Thanks in advance!

Totally anecdotal but...

The late George Williams ( steam roller driver North Wales) told me that the N type Foden , see page 47 of John Crawley.s book owned by William Thomas of Chester was scrapped only because it was wrecked in a major accident on Tarvin Hill, and NOT as some suppose that it was a failure. George added that he had seen it running fully loaded at very high speeds, well above those of the Sentinels then in use. Again very secondhand but none the less an interesting story. regards David Powell.

In that case a newspaper report was very likely, especially if anyone was killed or injured. What was the local paper to Tarvin Hill? Come to that, where is Tarvin Hill? Anyone fancy a bit of research?
