Bressingham Steam Gala 29 30 April and 1st May

Last reports suggested 18 road engines and portables in steam for the Gala.

If Bressingham's elderly Foster passes its steam test, it will be out in steam for the first time in around 25 years. Fingers crossed!

Road run Sunday evening to Fair Green in nearby Diss

Sounds a good event... and it will be lovely to see the old Foster back in steam.

Have just looked at ticket prices.... not a cheap day out and surprisingly no family tickets....

Seems pretty good value to me, when you factor in the standard gauge railway will be doing brake van rides, the 2ft gauge railway will be running (with two guest locos), plus the two miniatures lines, AND the funfair, AND the Dad's Army exhibition... Bressingham's a great day out.

I'm not saying there's not a lot to see at Bressingham and maybe its not bad value for money but what I'm saying for a family day out plus fuel and grub etc. its not cheap.

Most places do family tickets but Bressingham appears to be one a few that just charge per person.

Saying this a family bloke who also runs an engine.

AND yes, I'm sure Brssingham is a great day out.... I've been there enough times over the years....

You used to be able to double up Tesco points, maybe someone can confirm if this is still the case.

Cheers Chris H

Well done Bressingham for listening to feedback and adjusting prices accordingly.
